BRAND NEW HEELVSBABYFACE MERCH FROM RIPPASEND
None of us really remembers Starfield, but everyone remembers Az’s legendary rant from seven hours into the game that Dan Vasc clipped and asked to share, adding that “it might bring you a bit of heat.”
Well, that heat was heard around the world, and suddenly, a streamer and commentator who was known for World of Warcraft, The Real BBC, and Friday Night Tights became known to a larger audience. Many nerds were in agreement that the political messaging we see in so many games had taken precedence over quality gaming.
He famously shouted in his rant that the people who made the game were BORING! This has been quoted many times by the fans and will now be available on a YOU’RE BORING T-shirt that has the HeelvsBabyface logo as the “O” on a shirt in those colors that reads BORING.
For those of you who loved the rant and have been an Az fan – maybe from the Starfield rant, maybe from the World of Warcraft days – and want to show the love.
HEELVSBABYFACE: The Silverback Rant & Rip Collaboration
Some were furious about Az’s reaction to the game, even inspiring the nickname Silverback because of his incredibly articulate gamer rage. This was responded to with an outpour of love and support for Az.
Streamers across the board made response videos in support of Az and his righteous rant. Soon afterwards, a new show was born: Rip & The Silverback.
On the show, Rippaverse owner & founder, Eric D July, and Az talk about pop culture, comics, entertainment, and world events in a very authentic, knowledgeable, and often humorous approach. The show will be having its 88th episode this upcoming Tuesday, getting close to its 100th episode.
To celebrate that show, RippaSend is releasing a Rip & The Silverback T-Shirt with the newly released image for the show featuring a SKULL Rip illustration for Eric and a Silverback gorilla hybrid for Az. The two images are connected by a thick chain.
This shirt will be the first of its kind and the very first piece of merch for the show!
HEEL VS BABYFACE: Shlurpo Merch Drop
Lastly, this is for the fans of The Real BBC, or perhaps just the growing number of Shlurpo fans. Usually, a lineup of Az/HeelvsBabyface, Gary Buechler/Nerdrotic, and Callum Edmunds/MauLer, sometimes one of the team is unavailable, but the show will go on.
During an instance where Gary wasn’t able to attend, Az and MauLer started discussing Star Wars, and the gentlemen started joking about what they were seeing, but had joked that this character was named Shlurpo, or this planet was Shlurpo, or the currency that they use is called Shlurpos.
As many Star Wars fans have seen a departure from the core elements and storytelling that initially made them love the series, this in-joke of Shlurpo gave a voice to the ridiculousness they were seeing on screen. Fans connected with Shlurpo, and it’s become a recurring in-joke amongst the fans.
