Written by author and online personality Jay David, teamed with writer Aaron D’Anthony Brown, the Achromatic Chronicles were beautifully illustrated by artist Erik Hodson.

The Achromatic Chronicles series takes audiences on an epic adventure to Gray World, where a young boy named Jon asks too many questions. Gray World is not only a place devoid of all colors, painted only in bleak black, white, and gray, but it is also a place devoid of asking questions. Asking so many has gotten Jon teased by school bullies, dubbing him “Question Boy.” The only person to indulge Jon’s endless questions and sense of adventure is his best friend, Fortuna. But when she disappears, Jon sets out on the adventure of a lifetime! Jon searches the woods that they both love to find Fortuna, but instead, he meets Blue, a living ball of color who has also misplaced his friend. Blue needs to find them before he can return to the Color World. For helping him out, Blue tells Jon he will take him to visit his world if he can keep his secrets.

But where did Fortuna go? Achromatic Chronicles: Green is her story. Little does Jon know that Fortuna made a startling discovery in the woods of her own. The woods are the one place Fortuna feels free to explore and be curious as she well knows that those sorts of things are strictly looked down upon in the Gray World. Never ask questions, fall in line, stick to what you are told to do, and never dare to be different. However, Fortuna’s own mother had been different, and now she has vanished. Just where Fortuna does not know, and her father refuses to talk about it. What she discovers in the woods might just lead Fortuna to the answers she seeks.
