About Achromatic Chronicles: Green
The Chromatic Chronicles are back, and our story continues in this 136-page sequel with Achromatic Chronicles: Green! In the second installment in what is intended to be a six-part series, author and online personality Jay David teams up with writing partner Aaron D’Anthony Brown and with art by Erik Hodson as we dive back into the thrilling and awe-inspiring worlds of the Achromatic Chronicles.
You do not need to read Achromatic Chronicles: Blue to dive right into Achromatic Chronicles: Green; it will increase your enjoyment of both books. Our story began with Jon, the “Question Boy,” who, despite living in the colorless, repetitive, mundane Gray World, is blessed with a thirst for adventure and a curious mind. This isolates him from those around him but, at the same time, inspires the very same inquisitive spark inside his best friend, Fortuna. This is her story.
Fortuna lives in Gray World and, unlike her spirited friend, Jon, fits in fine and works extremely hard to be the perfect student, the perfect friend, and the perfect daughter. However, Fortuna does not stay on the beaten path because she feels it is the right thing to do; she fears she has no choice but to stand in line and never dare to be different. Her mother was different, and now she is gone. Where did she go? What happened to her? And will she ever be back? Fortuna does not know and no matter how many times she brings it up to her dad, he will not tell her. Instead, her father urges her to work hard to fit in. And she does. Fortuna works hard not to stray from the pack but allows herself one adventurous vice: a daily trip to the woods. One day, she comes upon a completely impossible sight! Fortuna meets a living color, Green, with a lovely lady’s voice who is here for a secret mission. Fortuna cannot believe her eyes, but she is more than happy to help and thus begins the journey that will change her world forever!
